(Update) A search team deployed at the fire incident site at Paga Goenpa in Chhukha recovered two statues of Tenpa, a Cherenzi statue, and few manuscripts. The relics were recovered from the rubble. The Goenpa was razed by a fire on February 29.

About 18 police personnel have been guarding the remains of the Lhakhang since the fire incident. A search team comprising of officials from different ministries and agencies are also deployed.

However, for past two days, the team could not continue the search works due to unsafe remains of the wall.

An excavator machine has been deployed by the Dzongkhag to clear the debris at the site from today.

The three-storey Paga Goenpa has 21 monks and four teachers including a Lam.
