Ambassador Tan informed Lyonchhoen that she will be meeting the CEO of Drukair and work on strategies and ways to increase the number of passengers and tourists from Singapore and its neighboring countries to Bhutan.

“All in all bilateral developments are moving in the right direction,” Ambassador Tan said adding that they are still working on offering scholarships to Bhutanese particularly in the areas of vocational and diplomats’ training.

Lyonchhoen thanked Ms Tan and the Singaporean government for the long standing relation the two countries have had. Lyonchhoen said that despite being a small nation, Singapore has always had reasons to inspire Bhutan. “We have learnt a lot and will continue to get inspired by Singapore,”
