The senior women’s national team defeated Sri Lanka 1-0 as the two sides played yet another friendly match at the Changlimethang National Stadium yesterday.

The only goal of the match converted from a penalty in the first half proved more than enough to defeat the Sri Lankan side.

The International friendly matches organised by FIFA help member countries to gain more exposure and improve their FIFA rankings. A member country has to at least play 4 international friendly matches in a year.
