A three-day Regional seminar on Inclusive Education ended yesterday. The seminar which was organised by the College of Education in Paro in collaboration with the Ministry of Education was held in Paro.
The seminar was to enhance knowledge and understanding of Inclusive Education in Bhutan and the South Asia Region. It was also to sensitise policy makers, government leaders, legislators, politicians, educationist, teachers, parents and persons with disabilities and their fundamental rights to quality education.
Meanwhile, participants also discussed to create opportunities for inter-institutional linkages at a national and regional level for sharing of resources and expertise in building human resource capacity. Participants also deliberated in fostering continuous professional development and learning with respect to special needs education.
The seminar was organised through financial support from the UNICEF.
