Selecting the best young footballers

A three-week long coaching and a selection camp for under 14 and 15 boys was came to an end today in Gelephu.

The camp is being organised to select the potential football players. Of the 80 who participated, 52 potential footballers were selected. Twenty two from the under 14 group and 30 from under 15.

The under 14 group will represent Bhutan at the upcoming football festival in Katmandu, Nepal. The under 15 boys will be kept at the Bhutan Football Federation, BFF,  Academy in Thimphu. They will participate in the Asian Football Confederation qualification.

The officials from the BFF said the training is in preparation for the upcoming football festival. About 350 boys have been trained in three batches.

The training is being organised by the BFF.
