Schools and Centres in the 5 Dzongkhags to reopen on 19th March

Schools and Centres in the identified Dzongkhags closed after the first confirmed Coronavirus Disease in the country to prevent the further spread of the virus will reopen on the 19th of this month.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Education today afternoon, Schools, Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Centres, Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centres/Community Learning Centres (CLC) and Youth Centres under Paro, Punakha, Thimphu, Chhukha (Chumigthang MSS), Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhags, Thimphu and Phuentshogling Thromdes will remain closed till 18th March and will reopen on 19th March 2020.

Meanwhile, the schools and centres are advised to strictly adhere to the preventive advisory notes regarding the Coronavirus Disease issued by the Health Ministry and Education Ministry.
