Rain last night has helped in containing the forest fire in Yangnyer Gewog of Trashigang.
The fire, which started on Saturday afternoon at around 1:30, destroyed over 700 acres of forest.
More than 100 firefighters battled the forest fire. No casualties and damage to properties were reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
