Drone, formally known as an unmanned aerial vehicle is now becoming popular because of its ability to provide real-time data, operate in dangerous areas including hard-to-access areas, and provide technical capabilities, such as thermal scanning. Considering the importance, the Department of Disaster Management in partnership with the World Food Programme conducted a weeklong training for all stakeholders involved in reducing disaster risks in Thimphu recently.
