A popular Bhutanese film director, Tshering Wangyel, 43, passed away, yesterday. He was undergoing treatment in an intensive care unit of the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu. He was said to be suffering from acute pneumonia.
Tshering Wangyelstarted his career in film making in 1999 with his first film, Rewaa. Since then, he has directed more than 50 films and employed over 300 people.
Before his illness, he was working on the film “Sang Magaybe Sem”.
