Police recover body of abandoned newborn baby

The Thimphu police recovered a body of an infant from lower Taba today.

According to a forensic expert, the body is suspected to have been dumped after giving birth at home. The official said it is not known whether the baby was born alive but he said that the incident must have happened today morning.

Officials believe the body was brought to the particular area by stray dogs.
