Prime Minister Dr. Lotay Tshering led the annual nationwide cleanup campaign in the capital today.
The cleanup campaign was organised to commemorate the 12th anniversary of His Majesty The King’s accession to the Golden Throne.
Prime Minister along with the officials of the Cabinet Secretariat, forestry officials and locals cleaned the public spaces near the Dechenphu Lhakhang.
Prime Minister said every citizen of the country must “collectively and actively,” engage in sustainable waste management.
The nationwide cleaning exercise was first held in December 2016 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the Golden Throne.
