The Prime Minister Jigmi Y. Thinley arrived in Orissa, India today. Lyonchhoen is on a four-day visit to attend the 115th annual General Assembly of the Mahabodhi Society.
Lyonchhoen met with the Bhutanese students of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). The institute will be conferring prestigious Honorary Doctorate Award and the Humanitarian Award 2012 to Lyonchhoen.
Twenty five Bhutanese students, including 10 female, are pursuing MBBS, B.tech and Dentistry.
Lyonchhoen told the students that they were blessed and fortunate to be studying not just in a renowned and distinguished institution but in a beautiful and serene environment. He also said they have taken up valuable courses that will ensure immense contribution in the development of the country.
