56-year-old Devi Charan Dhimal is one of the Thrompon candidates for Phuentshogling Thromde. Representing Phuentshogling Toed constituency, he has three decades of experience as an engineer and a civil servant. He was a project coordinator of the Asian Development Bank project under Phuentshogling thromde before contesting in the election.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He assures to walk an extra mile in pursuit of developing Phuentshogling thromde to a prosperous city.
“I am highly privileged to have served 30 long years in civil service. Out of that, I have served 15 years in Phuentshogling thromde as a civil engineer. With these experience and a background as an engineer, I have the confidence and competence to propel the developments of Phuentshogling thromde to make it more prosperous, happy and ideal thromde in the country,” he said.
According to him, he is aware of the challenges faced by the thromde. He further commits to resolve and mitigate the challenges given the opportunity to serve.
“We can not ignore or give importance to any constituency. We have to have a balanced development. In my pledge and manifesto, I have the full trust and faith to take forward balanced development for the people to enjoy balanced facilities and services,” he added.
Devi Charan Dhimal started the door to door campaign on April 3. However, it was cut short due to the lockdown in the Thromde since the night of April 16.
