The people of Jangbi Chiwog in Trongsa are worried that the tradition of bamboo weaving, which was once popular in the region, could soon disappear. This is mainly because there is no interest from the younger generation to learn the craft. They added there are also other challenges such as difficulty in getting raw materials and easy availability of cheaper imported products.
