Pema Thekchok wins the 2019 Mr Bhutan title

Pema Thekchok won the 2019 Mr Bhutan title at the 10th edition of the National Bodybuilding and Physique Championship defeating eight other competitors on August 24. Cementing his legacy as the two time Mr Bhutan, he will be sponsored by the Bhutan Bodybuilding Association for the upcoming Asian Championship in Indonesia.

Pema Thekchok was the 2014 Mr Bhutan. The newly crowned national champion also bagged bronze in the 2016 Asian championship. He owns a gym in Phuentshogling.

The former three-time Mr Bhutan, Tandin Wangchen stood second.

In the men’s physique category, Tashi Tshokey emerged victorious after beating thirteen other contestants. He is the bronze medallist in South Asian Championship held in Nepal this year.

And Yuden, participating for the first time won the women’s model physique category.  She was closely followed by Tshewang Dema.
