The Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag Tshogdu approved the expansion of Khothagpa gypsum quarry in its recent sitting. Although the matter was tabled during the last two sessions, it did not get through. The Department of Geology and Mines could not arrange a presentation to the Tshogdu’s members regarding the social responsibility as well as the quarry’s benefits to the community after the extension.
