Paro police seizes 90 pieces of Sandalwood

Sandalwood-ParoThe Paro police seized 90 pieces of Sandalwood from a man in Tsento Gewog in Paro on Monday evening. The sandalwood weighing 733 kilograms was seized at 6pm from his house in Tsento Gewog.

The wood had been hidden in a trench dug on the ground floor of his house and covered by wooden planks and then animal feed. The case has been handed over to the Divisional Forest office in Paro. The offender will receive a total fine of around Nu.6,00,000.
