Out of 19 products, only one product was awarded the Bhutan SEAL of Excellence during the third round of Bhutan SEAL Programme held today.
Seldon, who came up with silk shawl, won the SEAL of Excellence. She was awarded a cash prize of Nu.28,000.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs holds Bhutan SEAL Programme once in two years. The programme, this year, was to commemorate His Majesty’s the fourth Druk Gyalpo’s 60th Birth Anniversary.
The Seal of quality was awarded to 12 people under the category of contemporary and traditional. Their products varied from wooden container to paintings. All of them were awarded Nu.18,000 each.
