No one is forced to sign Performance Agreement, says PM

PM-GewogBudget-.The recent few incidences of local leaders refusing to sign the Performance Agreement with the Dzongkhags was discussed in the Meet the Press session, yesterday.

Remarking on this, Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay said that no one is forced to sign the Performance Agreement.


The Prime Minister said that the targets set in the agreements have no way been dictated by him.

With regard to the budget allocation of the Gewog Development Grants, Lyonchhen said that what is reflected in the Performance Agreements are achievable within the present resources.
