Nganglam Central School in Pema Gatshel lifted the winners’ trophy for winning football match during the four day dzongkhag school sports meet. More than 400 students from eight different schools in Pema Gatshel participated in the sports meet which ended, yesterday.
The winners will compete in various sporting activities in the upcoming regional sports meet which will be held in Samdrup Jongkhar.
First ever Kids Athletic Festival in Sagteng
Over in Trashigang, more than 200 students and teachers of Sagteng Lower Secondary School took part in the first ever Kids Athletic Festival, on Monday.
The festival was held to encourage and train students to gain athletic skills.
Winners were given certificates and medals.
Bhutan Amateur Athletics Federation, the organiser of the festival also provided set of clothing and bags to students from economically disadvantaged background.
