The incumbent National Council members offered Ku-Sung-Thug Mendrel to His Majesty The King at the Throne Room in Tashichhodzong yesterday.
The present members will officially complete their five-year term on May 9. The house of review has 25 members including five eminent members appointed by His Majesty The King.
During the recent NC election, five among the 14 current members were re-elected to the post. They are: Bumthang NC elect Nima, Wangdue NC elect Tashi Dorji, Zhemgang NC elect Pema Dakpa, Lhuentse NC elect Tempa Dorji and Samdrup Jongkhar NC elect Jigme Wangchuk.
Along with these five members, 15 other newly elected National Council members will join the office on May 10.
