The league leaders of the BOB Bhutan Premier League, Thimphu City, was held to a one-one draw by Ugyen Academy earlier today. Played at the Changlimithang Stadium, the two teams played out a goalless first half.

In the second half, Ugyen Academy broke the deadlock in the 68thminute. Thimphu City looked destined to lose their first match of the season, but in the 79thminute, Phuntsho Jigme equalised, giving his team a hard-earned point.

Tomorrow, Paro FC will look to pounce on Thimphu City’s slip when they take on High-Quality United at the Changlimithang.
