A few grocery stores in Samtse town have been forced to close by the dzongkhag monitoring team after they were found repeatedly breaching COVID-19 safety protocols. The protocol breaches include overcrowding inside the shop and customers or shopkeepers not wearing masks. The shops were closed since last night and will be closed for a week.

Meanwhile, the two community cases reported from Samtse, today, are from Gomtu town. According to officials, they have no contacts with earlier cases. A front liner, who was serving as quarantine facility manager also tested positive from a flu clinic.
