The Wangdue Phodrang police fished out the body of a man from the Punatshangchhu near Hesothangkha, this morning. The deceased was identified as the 36-year-old man, who was reported as missing on 27th December during the second nationwide lockdown.

The deceased went fishing in Dangchhu with two other men. According to sources, there was no foul play involved and the body was handed over to his nephew.

Meanwhile, the two men aged 33 and 37, who accompanied the deceased were arrested on the same day for breaching of public order and tranquillity as per the Penal Code of Bhutan 2004.

As per sources, all of them are the workers of Wangdue Phodrang Dzong Reconstruction Project. The case is yet to be forwarded to the District Court.
