Climate-resilient irrigation system in Dophuchen

Climate change represents a challenge for rural people; hence adapting irrigation to climate change is a priority for their future. Farmers are vulnerable, as climate change will impact both the demand and the availability of water for agriculture. Blacktopping of Lauri GC road to start soon

Villagers of Lauri Gewog in Samdrup Jongkhar say their gewog centre (GC) road needs to be blacktopped. Currently, the 36 kilometres Lauri GC road is riddled with potholes and without a proper drainage system. The GC road was constructed in 2015.
