World leaders are failing the future generations says youth climate activist

At the United Nations (UN) Climate Action Summit, future generations demanded that the world leaders need to do more to clean up the mess that they have created. Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old Swedish climate activist asked the world leaders to leave for the future generations their fair share of a healthy planet to dwell on.

PM asks global community to support LDC’s climate resilience plans

 Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering presented to the United Nations (UN) Climate Action Summit on the Least Developed Countries' (LDC) plans of making climate-resilient pathways by 2030 and ensuring net-zero emissions by 2050 on September 23. Lyonchhen also asked the global community to invest 450 million dollars as support over the next ten years to realise the plans.

Bhutan will ask developed countries to cut down their emissions at UN Climate Summit

Although not a major contributor, Bhutan along with other least developed countries remain most vulnerable to threats and negative impacts of climate change. So as the chair of Least Developed Countries(LDC) Bhutan will ask the developed countries at the United Nations Climate Summit to cut down their emissions to maintain temperature rise below 1.5 degree Celsius.

10 students from Wangsel Institute attend photography training in Bangkok

Forty deaf students from Thailand, Cambodia, Bhutan and Myanmar were trained with basic photography skills to provide a platform to develop a career and to enhance deaf’s innovation. The Foundation for the Deaf in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen believes “young Photographer” with hearing disability express themselves better with photographs.
