Lowest inflation rate recorded in 2018

Bhutan recorded the lowest average annual inflation rate in 2018 at 2.69 per cent. It is the slowest increase in the prices of goods and services since the records were maintained by the National Statistics Bureau (NSB) in 2004.

Three Black-necked cranes tagged with GPS transmitters

The Boomdeling Wildlife Sanctuary (BWS) tagged three Black-necked cranes with GPS transmitters to study migratory routes, and identify potential threats. Officials say data from the GPS transmitters will help identify potential threats during the bird’s migration and help step up conservation efforts at the cranes’ roosting areas.
