Spiritual or religious aspects in the lives of many patients are disturbed when in the hospital. But a religious support programme at the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu is proving helpful during such a time. Started last year, the programme provides patients with spiritual companionship.

Farmers in Goshing and Ngangla Gewogs initiated winter vegetable farming, as encouraged by the agriculture sector, three years ago. They even signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dzongkhag. The farmers have worked hard and produced vegetables in abundance. However, they are facing difficulty in marketing their vegetables.

Twenty five women in the capital completed an eco- friendly training on turning the pet bottles into useful household products. From now on, these women are expected to become an example to their community on waste management.
