His Majesty interacts with people of Sakteng Gewog

His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen are currently in Sakteng Gewog in Trashigang. In the last couple of days, Their Majesties granted audience to people of Sakteng Gewog, students and teachers of Sakteng Lower Secondary School. His Majesty also hosted tokha and Their Majesties personally interacted with them. Their Majesties arrived in Sakteng on Wednesday, on foot, from Merak Gewog.

Dungsam Polymers makes its first profit

After running into loss to the tune of Nu 28M last year, Dungsam polymers made its first profit at Nu 3.8M in the first quarter this year. The profit was attributed to several cost-cutting measures and marginal increase in terms of sale of cement bags to Dungsam cement.

The wildlife rescue team rescued a male samba deer from the helipad area in Changjalu in Thimphu, today. Deputy Chief Forest Officer said the deer, about five years old, was found at 7:30 in the morning. The animal was treated for chest injury. A pack of dogs is said to have chased the animal. The deer has been released in a safe area, a few kilometers away from the city.

Bhutanese student awarded prestigious ‘white coat’

The St. Joseph's School, North Point, in Darjeeling, India conferred a prestigious 'white coat' on Mikyo Dorji, from Bhutan. He is one of the only 12 students in the 127 years long history of St. Joseph's School to have been awarded the white coat.
