Bhutan takes second place in Tenzing Norgay Tennis Championship

Thinley Norbu, representing Bhutan, is the runners up in men’s single of the first Tenzing Norgay Memorial Open Tennis Championship held in Darjeeling, India. Thinley Norbu lost to Ashimanyu from Kolkata by two straight sets 6-1, 6-4 in the final, played yesterday.

PM’s Office to operate G2C Services

Kawajangsa FC is this year’s Thimphu Open football championship winner. The final match was played between Kawajangsa FC and House United. Kawajangsa FC defeated House United by three goals to two. The winning team bagged a cash prize of Nu. 35,000, while the runners up were awarded Nu.25,000. Total of 24 teams took part in the championship organized by Dream Adventure Travel.

Telecom’s CEO released

The Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Telecom, Tshewang Gyeltshen has been released. He was released yesterday.

Fuel price reduced

According to the press release from the Department of Trade, price of petrol and diesel has been reduced following the reduction in India, with effect from 8PM today.
