The BoB launched Corporate Credit Card in Thimphu, today. The card will be issued only to selected employees of organizations for official use. Bhutan Airlines, the country’s first and the only private airline, will fly to Nepal beginning 16th of this month. The Airline launched its inaugural flight to Kathmandu yesterday.

Elephants are wreaking havoc in Yebum and Borbela villages in Dewathang. The rampaging elephants have destroyed villagers’ homes and crops. The villagers are now spending sleepless nights guarding their crops.

Paro Forestry officials have again seized 34 pieces of sandalwood weighing over 200 kilogrammes Thursday morning. The sandalwood was seized from Tsento Gewog as it was being carried to China on horsebacks. The offender will be slapped a fine of about Nu. two hundred thousand. This is the 8th case reported in Paro this year.
