Monsoon basketball tournament finals tomorrow

Mystic and Phuensum will battle against each other in the women’s finals of the monsoon basketball tournament tomorrow. In the semi-finals yesterday Phuensum won by eight baskets against Charo while Mystic defeated Raven by 17 baskets.

BHU opening makes life easier for Ugyentse residents

5 sentenced to life imprisonment

Five suspects of the 11 who were involved in a series of Chorten vandalism and Lhakhang robberies were sentenced to life imprisonment. The verdict was passed by jointly by the Drangpons of Trashigang, Mongar, Zhemgang, Trashiyangtse, Wangduephodrang and Bumthang on Friday in Trashigang.

Declining potato yield worries farmers
