Excise duty refund not discontinued: V.P. Haran

The Indian Ambassador to Bhutan, V.P. Haran, also said the excise duty refund has not been discontinued. He says the bilateral trade agreement India has with Bhutan provides for it.

He said the Indian government had been waiting for the new government to be formed in Bhutan. He shared that if the new government would like preliminary discussions on the Plan, the Indian government is prepared for that as well.

Cross-firing at Chhuzaggang

A cross firing took place between the Bhutanese Army and the miscreants from across the border at Chhuzaggang gewog under Sarpang Dzongkhag this morning. No casualties have been reported.
