With effect from midnight, today, the price of petrol will drop by at least Nu.2. In Thimphu, it will cost Nu. 60.57 per litre; Phuentsholing- Nu.58.85; and Trashigang- Nu. 58.30.

Residents of Phuentsholing will no longer have to experience the hassle of waiting in queues at the hospital, or travel across to border towns to avail themselves of certain medical facilities. The opening of the first private diagnostics centre in town has made alternatives available.

Members of the milk processing unit group of Yangthang village in Haa are unhappy and disappointed because only a few selected members of the group have been provided with materials for cow shed construction, free of cost by the Livestock Office. The materials included 10 bags of cement and 15 pieces of CGI sheets.
