The Trashi Yangtse’s NC member, Tashi Phuntsho asked the information minister why the government hasn’t been able to enforce the legal agreement it had drawn with powerful company like Tashi Air.
As per the agreement, Bhutan Airlines was supposed to resume domestic flights in October this year.
The understanding was, along with the license for international operations, Bhutan Airlines was also to begin domestic flights.
“Why was Tashi Air allowed to violate terms and conditions of the agreement?” said Eminent Member, Tashi Wangyal.
He said such violation shows that the government is being dictated by Tashi Air. He said such special exception from the government would lead to two separate laws for the rich and the poor.
The Minister for Information and Communications, D.N Dhungyel said the issue has been submitted by the ministry to the Cabinet for discussions.
