The National Council passed the Tenancy Amendment Bill 2014 today. Twenty members voted “yes” of 22 present. Two abstained.
The bill, which was passed by the National Assembly, was referred to the Legislative Committee of the National Council. The House had accepted most of the amendments proposed by the National Assembly. Twelve Sections were deliberated today prior to adoption of the bill.
The bill will be submitted to the National Assembly for final endorsement.
