National futsal league begins

The 2018 edition of the Bhutan Football Federation National Futsal League kicked off in the capital today. Played at the Changjiji futsal ground, 11 teams are competing in this year’s tournament.

This is the sixth edition of the national futsal league.

Standard futsal rules apply with five players a side. 11 teams will battle it out for the next 20 days to be crowned the national futsal league champions.

 In the first match, Paro Yuljong FC scored five goals past Thimphu Palace FC. Thimphu Palace managed only two goals in return.

In the second match of the day, Paro FC took on Kuenjung FC. Kuenjung FC came out eight-one winners.

The 11 teams are divided into two groups, and two matches will be played every day. The final is scheduled on 20th of this month.
