More than 40 acres of forest have been lost to a fire today afternoon above Bajo town in Wangdue Phodrang.

Foresters, Army personnel, Desuups, Police, PHPA staff, and other local volunteers battled the fire and contained it after a few hours.

However, no casualties and damages to public properties and settlements were reported so far.

Forest officials suspect human error for causing the forest fire.
