More than 3,000 university graduates will sit for this year’s preliminary exam of the Bhutan Civil Service Examination. The exam will be held this Sunday. The registration this year is the lowest in the last five years.

More than 5,000 graduates have been registering for the preliminary exam every year for the last two years. However, the numbers have come down to about 3,500 this year.

According to the Royal Civil Service Commission, the number was quite high in the last two years due to the COVID whereby graduates from the previous years also sat for the exam and also due to more number of students passing out from their colleges.

The Commission has announced around 660 positions.

The exam will be conducted in Thimphu and Monggar with the latter having 190 graduates sitting for the exam.
