Monggar team wins Yangphel style archery tournament

YangphelStyleTraditionalArcheryTournament-MonggarA team from Monggar won the Yangphel style traditional archery tournament held in Trashigang. The final match of the tournament was played today. The team from Kanglung came second followed by Radhi team.

Fifteen teams took part in the traditional archery tournament from Monggar and Trashigang. The tournament was organized to promote the traditional archery in the Dzongkhag and to foster relation among the players.

The winners of the tournament received a television set each. The first runners up team received a microwave oven each and the second runners up were given a set of sound system each. Individual prizes like highest karey, bull’s eye and man of the match were also given to the players.
