Thimphu police have apprehended four men in three different drug cases this week. The Police recovered more than 3,500 tablets and 100 bottles of corex.

On May 14, the police was informed about a DCM truck carrying banned substances from Phuentsholing to Thimphu. The DCM truck was intercepted at Changzamtok. The driver told the police that he just carried a parcel for a man working in a private firm. The man was then apprehended the same day.

Upon interrogation, the 32-year-old man revealed the identity the person who sent his consignment. The man was arrested in Phuentsholing.

Another 34-year-old man was arrested yesterday when he was looking for customers at the truck parking in Thimphu. Police after raiding his car seized about 600 tablets.

In another case, a 33-year-old man who runs a mobile shop in the Hongkong market was found in possession of drugs. He sold drugs from his mobile shop. Police recovered as many as 1,800 spasmoproxyvn tablets from the shop.

The suspects are from Zhemgang, Chhukha, Trashiyangtse and Lhuentse. All the four will be charged for illegal transaction of controlled substance.
