Many B-Mobile prepaid subscribers, who were charged extra for the telecom services on July 19, claim the refund has not been credited in their accounts yet.
On the other hand, the office says they have credited all extra charges on August 2. The deduction was done following a malfunction during Bhutan Telecom’s system maintenance.
Bhutan Telecom, through text messages, had notified the extra charges deducted would be refunded.
“It has been a week long since I got the message but I haven’t been refunded,” said a subscriber, Bir Bahadur.
Another B-Mobile user, Wangchuk Dorji said Bhutan Telecom deducted some balance from his phone but he isn’t sure how much.
Bhutan Telecom’s Chief Executive Officer, Tshewang Gyeltshen said they have credited all extra charges made from prepaid subscribers. “For postpaid subscribers, we are going to adjust in the monthly bill of July, 2016.”
He said if there are any left out cases, subscribers can contact them and they will verify the credit.
