HH-ManiDungdrup-WangdueA Mani Dungdrup recitation has begun in Wangdue Phodrang for the successful reconstruction of the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, and also for the well-being of the King, country, and the people.

The kurim is being led by His Holiness the Je Khenpo with more than 300 monks including lams and lopons from the Wangdue Rabdey. The Kurim concludes on February 1 with Nidup gi Laawang and blessings for long life. More than 2,000 devotees from Wangdue, Punakha, and other dzongkhags are attending.

Devotees are being served lunch every day at the kurim. On January 28, His Holiness will be administering Zhiwei Jingsey at the site of the old Wangdue Phodrang dzong. The Mani Dungdrup and the Zhiwei Jingsey have been organised by the Wangdue Chorten Tshogpa.
