Fire-GomkoraAn elderly man, who is partially blind, has sustained injuries when twelve-unit temporary sheds were gutted by a fire near Gomkora Lhakhang last night. He is being treated in Trashigang Dzongkhag hospital.

The fire is said to have started around noon last night. It is suspected to have started from an electric curry cooker.

Sixteen elderly people were living in the temporary sheds.

The victims are currently being looked after by the Gomkora Lhakhang. The Dzongkhag Kidu office is coordinating the relief efforts. Essential relief kids and other donations from the business community in Trashi Yangtse and Doksum will be handed over to the victims.
