Man sentenced for attacking with a Patang

GElegphuDistrictCourtThe Gelegphu Dungkhag Court has sentenced a 38-year-old man to five years in prison for attacking another man with a weapon. The man, who is from Serthig Gewog under Samdrup Jongkhar, also has to pay Nu.100,000 as compensation to the victim.

The victim was stabbed with a Patang after a fight with the perpetrator in September. Both men live in Gelegphu.
