In Pema Gatshel, a 36-year-old man was found dead near Marung stream between Khar and Yalang village in Shumar Gewog, yesterday evening. The deceased was from Phalamphu in Nanong Gewog. BBS learnt that the man went missing in the afternoon and his disappearance was alerted by his brother.
Sources say, the deceased, who was not mentally sound for a few days, might have slipped as the path he was found dead at was not used for many years.
The police have ruled out foul play. The deceased is survived by his wife and three daughters. The body was handed over to his wife in Khar village, yesterday.
