A man, 30, drowned in a drain on Monday night in Paro. The incident occurred in Geptey area under Wangchang Gewog in Paro.
Witnesses told police that they saw the man under influence of alcohol that night of the incident. The police were informed only the next morning.
Police said the victim had slipped and hit his head before falling into the drain. The victim, originally from Tsirang, worked as a salesman in one of the shops in Paro Town. The case is being investigated.
