A 26-year-old man died on the spot when the tripper truck he was travelling in toppled at Dzongkharlum, about 16 kilometres away from Trongsa towards Zhemgang. Police say he died of serious head injury and excess bleeding. The deceased is from Dagana.

The accident occurred near the dam of Mangdechhu hydropower project at 2 am this morning. There were six passengers in the truck, including the driver. Three of them were injured. One has been admitted to Trongsa hospital. The truck belongs to a private company. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
