The Lhuentse police have apprehended a 26-year-old man from Maedtsho Gewog for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl student.
The girl had reported the case to her teachers. The teachers had then reported it to the gewog administration. The gewog administration had informed the police for further investigation.
Sources say the man has supposedly attempted rape several times earlier.
