An 18-year-old caretaker is under Thimphu police custody for alleged attempted rape of an 18-year-old woman. Police arrested the suspect on Wednesday a few hours after the incident.

They said the incident took place at Taba in Thimphu.

The man, who is stranger to the woman, is accused of molesting the woman when she was on her way home in the evening. Forensic officials said the woman escaped the scene after she bit the suspect’s left forearm.
